Maher Golf PT and Performance is considered an “out-of-network” provider. Some insurances have out of network benefits that we can verify for you. If you prefer to verify yourself, attached is a PDF form to reference when communicating with the insurance representative. We do accept FSA/HSA. To learn more about why we are out of network, visit the services page.

Pricing depends on the plan of care recommended after your evaluation. Some individuals may receive partial reimbursement through out-of-network insurance benefits, and we are happy to help review those benefits upon request. Our goal is to build an appropriate, transparent plan that works for you and supports the best possible outcome.

No, Maryland is a direct access state which means you do not need a physician’s referral prior to seeing a physical therapist. Due to their doctorate level education, physical therapists have the ability to appropriately evaluate your condition and treat or refer as appropriate. Some exceptions apply for referrals, such as Medicare.
-
We request 24 hours notice for cancellations or a fee will be charged. No shows are charged at the full price of the service. Extenuating circumstances and special situations are considered on an individual basis.
-
Visits are conducted in a private, appointment-only training and treatment space. The exact location is shared after an appointment is scheduled to maintain client privacy and ensure a focused, professional care environment.
-
The discovery call is a brief conversation designed to understand your goals, injury history, and current limitations. We will determine whether our performance-based physical therapy model is the right fit for your needs and outline the most appropriate next steps. No treatment is provided during this call.

Your initial evaluation picks up where your discovery call left off. It is a comprehensive, one-on-one session focused on identifying the root causes of your symptoms or performance limitations. This includes a detailed movement and strength assessment, hands-on examination as needed, and a discussion of findings and recommendations. You will leave with a clear plan of care aligned with your goals.
-
Follow-up visits focus on implementing and progressing your plan of care established during your initial evaluation. Sessions may include hands-on treatment, targeted strength and movement training, and ongoing reassessment to ensure measurable progress. Each visit is individualized and adjusted based on your response and performance demands.
